::back to snowy vancouver::after enduring the mind-blowing (literally and figuratively) freezing cold weather in the east coast, i thought i would come back to the warmer (and hopefully a more sunny) west coast.

but it ended up snowing
again - and there was even a hail-fall just a couple of days ago! i should be happy to be able to experience these weather phenomenons (that are unseen/unheard of back home) - but right now, all i want is the sun and warmer weather!!
::downtown with karen::on friday, i accompanied karen downtown to run an errand. it was a pity she didnt manage to get the stuff she wanted! but since we were already in downtown, we conveniently went shopping! haha. very embarrassingly, our shopaholic tendencies got us into trouble that day - i won't go into details - but we have learnt our lesson not to alight from the bus at whim!

karen and i - having our dinner at babylon cafe along robson street! we were sooo hungry!!

i had chicken sharwarma plate! it was good:) sharwarma, which is a middle-eastern-style sandwich usu composed of shaved lamb/beef/turkey/chicken, originates from turkey. it has now become a popular form of fast food in many arab countries - and here in van as well (i think).

haha. i couldnt resist ripping this off from karen's blog! on the way back, karen and i created a din on the bus - while having fun taking photos of ourselves with funny faces - i look especially gross in most of them!! i think this is the most decent one already! but no thanks to all the recent pigging out sessions and the non-stop-snacking-and-binging, the extra kilos are showing!! yikes.
::bak kut teh with the girls::after being away in the east coast over spring break for almost 2 weeks, i really missed my girls! i was really happy to see them again:) we had a great dinner and it was nice catching up/spending time with them! i cooked bak kut teh, which thankfully turned out pretty well:) they loved it! yayy. much credit goes to daddy who taught me how to cook it - and he was the one who chose the very good bak kut teh spices that i brought over;)

our 3-course dinner started with appetizers - potato cheese salad and baby carrots!

my first attempt at bak kut teh;) im glad i didnt embarrass daddy! haha.

desserts - we had assorted fruits and triplechocolate icecream:) yum!

our usual group pic at the end of dinner:)
i am still in the midst of compiling the photos from my east coast adventure! will update on that soon;)
