some updates!!

::vday - of pineapple tarts, bananaleaf & concert::
the other half was greatly missed - but i am glad i still had the wonderful company of my dear girls:) in the afternoon, i went to sulynn's place to make pineapple tarts with her! we are really baking buddies - this is our 3rd time baking together! but we didnt have a proper measuring scale/cup, so we made do with our own estimation. haha. i think we didnt add enough butter so our pineapple tarts became pineapple biscuits :/ other than that, i guess they tasted fine - at least jon finished everything:)

in the evening, i had a wonderful dinner with karen, hiroko and saori at bananaleaf, a malaysian restaurant. we were pleasantly surprised by the great ambience! amidst all the lovey-dovey couples, the 4 of us had a fantastic time together too:)

long-lost sisters? karen & me - people say we look alike and it appears that we are finding more and more similarities between the both of us! im glad to have found a sister in u:)

the food at bananaleaf was great! this was karen's char kuay teow! i accidentally deleted the picture of my yummydelicious nasi goreng though:/ one of the best thing about being in vancouver is that there's acceptable singaporean food available - whenever i miss the local hawker foodfare back home:)

a good dinner is never complete without desserts - we had goreng pisang served with vanilla icecream and mango icecream (hiroko's craving)! nice:)

all of us - very satisfied after our nice vday dinner!! good food and an even better company - what more can i ask for?:)

after dinner, i went to support mijin-na and david who were both performing in the ubc choir concert at the chan cultural centre - together with saori and hiroko! it was a pity karen couldnt join us - coz she had a midterm the next day! the picture is quite blur - but mijin-na is the 5th from left in the first row, and david is on the extreme right in the 2nd row!

::richmond - pigging out & shopping with karen & saori::
about 2 weekends ago, i headed down to richmond with karen & saori for lunch and shopping! adelle had told me earlier that the chinese food in yaohan centre was really good and cheap so we decided to go try it! woah - the serving was crazily huge, and very reasonably priced indeed. we could order 5 ingredients + rice + soup for a mere cad$4.99. the serving was so big that i had it for lunch and dinner.

this was karen's plate of food. i accidentally deleted the picture of mine. as u can see, the food really piled up like a mountain!! but it was yummy:)

karen & i - photowhoring on our way to the busloop to meet saori - coz the weather was just so gloriously sunny. needless to say, we were so distracted with taking photos of the campus and of ourselves that we were late! oops!
