::back in vancouver::

sorry for the long overdue entry. i just arrived back in vancouver last night. much thanks to uncle sam who came to fetch me back to ubc - coz it was snowing quite heavily and i was so exhausted after a 20-hr long journey:( i was back home for 3.5 weeks and now im back in vancouver! sad to say, im still in the midst of overcoming homesickness again. bah. other than that, life's good so far - maybe except for my jetlag and the terribly cold weather (currently, the temperature's sub-zero and will probably continue to stay status quo for the next few days :( ). oh well. i missed the first lesson of some of my modules coz i could only secure an air ticket back on 10 jan - so im pretty lost in my school work now. hopefully things will settle in soon:)

obviously, this is a very overdue post. hiroko, saori, karen, hp, gil, jo & i had a farewell dinner at my place before i left for singapore last december.

even as we were busy cooking/preparing the food, we still made time to take photos! haha. true photowhores eh? we have a thing for posing with a "cheese" sign (or whatever they call it) - influenced by our dear japanese and korean friends:) but somehow, we can never look as comfortable as them, in that pose!

this was the 1st time i attempted to cook beer sprite chicken stew - i got the recipe from shuzhen:) it's amazing that the soup base is just 1 can of beer and 1 can of sprite! glad that it turned out quite well:)
