halloween cheer part 2: trick or eat?
the trick or eat program is an activity org by ubc, where volunteer students would go from house to house in the neighbourhood to collect foodstuff (instead of candies) for the poor, homeless and needy. ginny, ying, chen an and i decided to do our part for this worthy cause:) since it was halloween, we made sure we dressed up for the occasion!! boy was it fun!

at ginny's place - ginny and i tried to use facepaint to make ourselves look scary but we failed miserably. haha. in e end, we gave up and decided to just go with ying's suggestion - to be 'sweet' and tame-looking witches with a heart (pun intended)! ha.

the final product - man i really look hideous! yikes. ginny looks like a cute witch though:) our team - ginny and i the twin witches, CA the dracula and ying the masquerade dancer!

we endured the freezing cold and crazilystrong winds (which according to CA, was supposed to be around 70km/hr - which is like the speed of cars in sg?! madness) to go trick/eat-ing! some of the residents even gave us candies too! yayy. we hungrily gobbled up the chocolates as we made our way between houses coz we were all so hungry! the chocs helped to keep us warm too:)

the residents really took the effort to decorate their houses in halloween fashion!! tombstones, skeletons, cobwebs galore!!

we were pleasantly surprised by the generosity of the residents! no one turned us down:) and they were more than happy to give us whatever can food they had at home. luckily CA was w us - being the guy, he graciously carried the bulk of our collected foodstuff! much thanks!! heh.

happy with our fruitful harvest:) yayy! it was such an enjoyable experience!!

back in ubc - ginny n i were awarded the 'most intriguing costumes' but the prize was only a pack of chocolates. but oh wells. better than nothing i guess?;) posing with the judge!
