lighthouse park - 3 sept 06
all of us - with janet and miyoko (the 2 lovely ivcf staff workers)
i wanted to look scared - but i just look weird. haha. anyway we were lucky not to have encountered any bears along the way - but it would have been an interesting if we had though..
me and the lighthouse. ironically the lighthouse wasnt the highlight of the trip. it was really..
the big big ocean and the breathtaking view (although the picture don't do it much justice)..
the scenery along the beach - we can even see ubc from here!! woah.
just sitting down on the rocks, basking in the sun, with the fantastic view of the scenery and tranquil sea - ahh.. how refreshing:)
haha. think i have said enough about the koreans. this is me and july - at our picnic site - the eagle point. although it started to drizzle halfway, our spirits were not dampened:) gilbert and i brought wraps and the absolutely yummysinfullydelicious TIM HORTON's DONUTS for the picnic!! haha. donuts is my next food infatuation in canada (after streetside bratwurst hotdogs and purdy's icecream. man i need some self-control over here. bah). too bad i didnt manage to take any photos of the donuts that we brought - coz they got gobbled up by everyone so fast. heh.
i was totally unprepared for the hiking trails that we had to go through - in order to get to the lighthouse and the picnic spot.. janet was really enthusiastic about it (note: she LOVES hiking! yikes.) so we went explore almost all the trails in lighthouse park. they were really quite tough. the paths were mostly uneven, with sharp rocks jutting out here and there. there were also countless of steps up and down and up and down and up and down. haha. obviously my fitness was put to the test and i failed miserably. although i managed to go through the treacherous paths (yayy!!), i ended up with a a terrible bodyache all over, the next day. bah. haha.
